BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
The Tbilisi Youth Theatre's production of "Othello" by William Shakespeare is a unique performance designed for young adults, blending puppetry with live action. The puppets and set design are inspired by the sketches of renowned Georgian artist Petre Otskheli, created nearly a century ago for the legendary director Kote Marjanishvili's dramatic production of "Othello." This performance has been featured at several festivals, including the Tbilisi International Festival in 2022 and the Cairo International Festival in Egypt in September 2023, where the directors won the Best Director award.
Guestplay is performed as part of the GEORGIAN CULTURE DAYS in Denmark, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Georgia and the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of Denmark
